How to Run an AI-Powered Page Review

A full walkthrough of how the InnerCircle operate, from review trigger to accepted tasks inside the canvas.

Atarim AI reviews allow you to scan the viewport of a page or canvas for visual, copy, accessibility, and technical issues using intelligent agents. Unlike automated scans that run silently, Atarim gives you full control — you choose when to run reviews, which agents from the InnerCircle to use, and which issues get converted into real tasks.

This article walks through the entire lifecycle of an AI review session, including InnerCircle selection, credit validation, homepage context usage, and temporary task creation.

Relevant For

  • Project Managers validating pages before client handoff
  • Designers checking visual consistency
  • Developers reviewing layout bugs or vague comments
  • QA Engineers looking to catch errors across devices
  • Admins managing review credits and agent settings

Prerequisites

Familiarity with the Atarim canvas, task sidebar, and how to launch a project from URL, plugin, chrome extension, injectable script or image.
  • An Active Atarim project.
  • AI Review Credits Available

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Add a Project

You can run AI reviews on the following types of canvases:

  • Live/Staging website pages via URL
  • WordPress pages (via Atarim Plugin) Coming Soon
  • Chrome Extension Coming Soon
  • Injectable Script Coming Soon
  • Uploaded image mockups or screenshots Coming Soon

At this stage, the AI is not active — the system is idle.

Add Site to Project

Warning: Adding a project does not run any AI checks. You must manually start a review from inside the canvas.

Tip: Reviews are context-aware: when you add a project, the homepage is automatically provided to the AI as a reference point. This ensures that when reviewing internal pages, agents can compare them against the homepage for design consistency, brand alignment, and CTA treatment, rather than treating each page in isolation.

Step 2: Navigate to the Chat Tab for AI Review

Tip: The review modal prioritizes your intent. When you state a specific request (e.g., “check this page on mobile”), the AI tailors its feedback to that goal — making reviews more focused, relevant, and actionable instead of generic.

  • Open the Chat tab in the Task Toolbar.
  • In the field labeled “What are we working on today?”, enter context about the type of review you want for the page.
  • (Optional) Select a preset option such as Increase Conversion Rates or Perfect My Design to generate an automatic prompt.
  • Switch to Custom to write your own prompt and manually choose which Atarim AI agents to use.
  • Adjust or toggle additional agents On/Off as needed to fit your review goals.
  • Once ready, click Review This Page to start the AI review.
  • Review the Strategic Overview provided by Claro.
  • Click Start Review or Reply to Refine Direction

Note: When you choose a preset option, the most relevant Inner Circle AI agents will be auto-enabled for you.

Example Workflows:

For a Custom Preset, you can manually select which InnerCircle agents to enable:

  • Enable only Pixel if you want design feedback before Claro invites the full team
  • Enable ‘Ask me before Claro invites the full team’ to receive the strategic overview first. Learn More About Strategic Overview
  • Combine agents (e.g., Pixel + Lexi) for targeted design and copy insights.

Note: Reviews are specific and intentional. You no longer get a flood of mixed tasks by default — instead, you control whether you want broad strategic insights or focused feedback in one area.

Step 3: (Optional) Open AI Advance Settings

You can click Advance Settings to adjust your Brand Guidelines.

  • Project Level: Adjust guidelines that apply only to the specific project you’re reviewing.
  • Global Level: Adjust guidelines that apply across all projects in your workspace.

Note: Project guidelines always take priority. If there’s overlap, your project-level settings will override the global defaults.

Step 4: Confirm Review & Use Your Credits

  • Then, from the canvas toolbar, click the “Review Page” button.
  • Once selected, the system will begin preparing the agents for scanning.
  • Atarim will check your workspace to confirm you have enough AI review credits.

Possible Outcomes

When you start an AI review, there are a few different outcomes depending on your account status:

  • You have credits available:
The review will begin right away, and the selected AI agents will start scanning your page or project.
  • You don’t have credits available:
You’ll see a prompt to either upgrade your plan or manage your subscription before you can continue with the review.

Warning: AI review credits are shared across all team members. This means that if multiple teammates are running reviews, credits may run out faster than expected. Be sure to coordinate with your team to avoid interruptions.

Step 5: Agents Scan the Canvas

Each selected AI agent scans your page based on its area of expertise.

During this process, the agents analyze a complete snapshot of your site, including:

  • HTML and DOM structure
  • CSS layout and visual hierarchy
  • On-page copy, CTAs, and tone indicators
  • Metadata and SEO structure
  • Screen size, browser, and device context

After scanning, the agents compile a unified report that includes:

  • Overall impression – Highlights what’s already working well
  • Recurring themes – Groups similar findings by frequency and reporting agent
  • Team notes and observations – Shows alignments, inconsistencies, and duplicate points
  • Effort estimate – Adjusted to your selected experience level
  • Top priorities – Pinpoints high-impact actions to focus on first
  • Next steps – Suggests converting insights into tasks, running another review, or sharing results with stakeholders

Agent Example Checks:

AgentWhat It Flags
PixelMisalignment, spacing issues, visual drift
LexiUnclear copy, off-brand tone, weak CTAs
NaviContrast issues, small text, screen reader gaps
ClaroVague feedback turned into clear tasks
IndexBroken headings, missing alt text, link gaps
GlitchConsole errors, broken forms, Safari layout bugs

Note: These checks happen in parallel and typically finish within a few seconds. Credit usage may vary based on the complexity of the design.

Step 6: View Temporary AI Tasks

Once the scan is complete, you’ll see temporary task suggestions (also called temp tasks) appear directly on the canvas.

Each suggestion includes:

  • A description of what was found
  • A visual pin highlighting the affected element
  • Action options: Keep to turn it into a permanent task, or Hide to dismiss it
Swipe left to Hide or right to Keep
Glitch Functionality Feedback
Index Performance Feedback
Navi Accessibility Task
Lexi Content Feedback
Pixel Design Task

Note: Temp tasks are only suggestions until you choose to keep them. This gives you full control over which AI findings become actionable tasks.

Step 7: Keep or Hide Tasks

Here’s how to handle AI task suggestions:

A. Keep

  • The suggestion becomes a full Atarim task
  • You can assign it, edit the content, or add comments
  • The task becomes visible to your team

B. Hide

  • The suggestion disappears
  • It’s logged internally (for future training), but is not visible to others

C. Do Nothing

  • The suggestion stays pinned until you refresh or revisit the page
  • You can act on it later

Tip: Hover over a task to preview its content before making a decision & Swipe actions make it faster to triage multiple AI suggestions, especially when reviewing on smaller screens or touch devices.

Step 8: Repeat or Re-Scan as Needed

You can scroll to new sections of the page or click “Start New Review Cycle again to run another scan.

This is helpful if:

  • You added new content
  • You changed layout or copy
  • You want to try a different combination of agents

Recommendation: Use the AI review loop to tighten feedback with every iteration — especially before client handoffs or QA rounds.

Request Feedback Without Triggering Start Review

You don’t need to move to the expert review stage yet. You can still get valuable feedback from your Inner Circle using a general task — perfect for asking questions, sharing context, and gathering targeted insights before launching a full page review (Start Review). Once you invite the expert agents, they’ll analyze each viewport, use their available tools, and add short written comments directly on the page, so only start that stage when you’re ready for a deeper, structured review.

Step 1: Work with the InnerCircle to Get a Strategic Overview

  • Once the collaboration opens, click the Chat tab and type your question or context in the “What are we working on today?” field to create a general task.
  • Once you click Review This Page, the InnerCircle agents will automatically analyze your page. It scans a website to build a structured project brief, a summary that highlights strengths, weaknesses, and key opportunities for improvement across your design.

It identifies:

  • Business Overview
  • Products and Services
  • Brand Colors, fonts, and assets
  • Project Type, tone, and target audience
  • Constraints, goals, and success metrics
This is the Strategic Overview phase — only Claro is active here.

Warning: This isn’t linked to any page element until you click Start Review.

Note: This will scan and review the page to generate your Strategic Overview. Make sure “Receive a Strategic Overview” remains on to get these insights. This step will not create viewport-specific tasks generated by the InnerCircle.

Step 2: Ask Your Question

In the task description field, type the question or feedback request you’d like the Inner Circle to respond to.

  • Keep it open-ended for overall impressions (“What do you think about this page?”).
  • Or make it specific if you want focused feedback (“Is this headline strong enough?” or “Does the layout feel balanced?”).
  • You can also mention a specific Inner Circle agent for targeted insights:
    • “Lexi — is this CTA clear enough?”
    • “Pixel — are the elements aligned properly here?”

Step 3: Creating New General Task

If you want to create a general task for sitewide changes that also aren’t linked to any specific element, use the General Task option in the chat panel. This is ideal when you don’t need to get a Strategic Overview or scan the page, but want to give direct instructions or request broad updates.
